THE DECADE OF GAS

The Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (N.I.P.S) Pre-Summit Conference, titled: The Decade of Gas, in furtherance of the Federal Government initiative that declared January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2030 as “The Decade of Gas Development for Nigeria”.

The official launch of THE DECADE OF GAS was declared by the President of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, whilst in attendance on Monday, 29th March 2021 at the hybrid event.

With limited in-person attendance at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja of gas players at the highest level, and thousands of delegates joining virtually across various platforms, the event discussed the road map towards a gas powered economy by 2030.

The event was organised by the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, sponsored by Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) and produced by Brevity Anderson.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS FOR VIPS, SPEAKERS, DELEGATES EXHIBITORS

Below are some important details you need to know in the run up to #NIES2025. Please read carefully for your action.

Getting to the conference

Branded NIES shuttle buses and cars will run from our partner hotels and event venues.

Our Official Partner Hotels are:

Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Nicon Luxury Hotel , Pearl Hotel and Abuja Continental Hotel Abuja.

Accreditation

Please note our new location:

Attendee registration, accreditation and badging will be at: Abuja Continental Hotel Zone 4, 1 Ladi Kwali St, Wuse, Abuja 900001, Federal Capital Territory from 9:00am on Sunday 23rd February then 8:00am each morning on Monday 24thFebruary,  25th, 26th and 27th. It closes at 7PM everyday.

Official Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony and Presidential Launch on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 will be at the State House, Aso Villa, Abuja, starting with Networking

Coffee at 08:00am.

As we are expecting the Nigerian President (or official representative) to officially launch the event, ALL DELEGATES ARE TO ARRIVE THE STATE HOUSE VIA OUR SHUTTLE BUSES. 

Shuttle buses will run from 7:00am from our partner hotels, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Nicon Luxury Hotel , and Abuja Continental Hotel Abuja.listed above.

The last shuttle on Tuesday to State House will be at 8:30am.

ALL DELEGATES ARE EXPECTED TO BE SEATED BY 09:00am

Delegates must have their accredited NIES badges to gain access; the Opening

Ceremony is open to all registered Delegates, VIPs and Speakers and Exhibitors (NOT open toVisitors )

Access to State House for the Opening Ceremony will seize at 9:00am.Please ensure you are fully registered with cleared payments, accredited and badged before Tuesday in order to attend the Opening Ceremony at State House.

The buses will depart from the designated partner hotels. If you are not logged in any of these partner hotels serving as departure points, please ensure you allow yourself plenty of travel time to arrive, park up and get on the bus.  We recommend you take into account the traffic congestions and allow for at least two hours.

The Optional Extra Events – Networking Dinners at Hilton are strictly for VIP badgeholders, those with the Specific Dinner Invitation Cards and for those who havepurchased each specific Optional Extra ticket to attend.

Access to the event will only be granted to delegates who have paid the prescribed fees and have been duly accredited. Your online registration is the first step, you will need to attend the accreditation centre with a valid ID to complete the final stage and be issued a conference pack and badge. 

Your badge will be security coded and non-transferable; it must be worn at all times during the event as it provides you access.

We will have an information desk at both the accreditation and conference venue, should you need any further assistance. 

We reserve the right to decline accreditation

of any registrant who has not made a full settlement of their prescribed fees.
